Terms of Engagement

Sheldon & Partners Limited and the client agree that valuation services in respect of the property or properties described above are subject to the following terms:

 

Use & purpose

  1. In accordance with Sheldon & Partners Limited's policies, valuation services will be provided solely for the use of the Client as named. Sheldon & Partners Limited do not take or accept responsibility to any other party in respect of these services.

  2. Unless stated otherwise, all reports will be completed for the provision of valuation services for the stated purpose alone.  Sheldon & Partners Limited do not accept responsibility should the services or report be used for any other purpose.

  3. Sheldon & Partners Limited do not purport to provide a site or structural survey, environment audit or cultural heritage audit in respect of the property/properties to be valued, neither do Sheldon & Partners Limited purport to be suitably qualified to provide professional advice in respect of building or site contamination or weathertightness. The scope of work does not include a search of council records.

  4. Valuation and consultancy services are provided on the basis that the Client has provided us with a full and frank disclosure of all information and other facts which may affect the valuation. We accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the valuation unless such a full disclosure has been made.

Republication

  1. Neither the whole nor any part of any valuation report, or any reference to the same, may be included in any published document, circular or statement without our prior written approval of Sheldon & Partners Limited as to the form and context in which it may appear.

  2. All opinions of value expressed by Sheldon & Partners Limited or its employees are subject to our Statement of Valuation Policies and any conditions contained within this document and in our written report.

Fees, disbursements & interest

  1. All disbursements including travelling and other reasonable expenses, incurred by Sheldon & Partners Limited in the provision of valuation services shall be fully recoverable from the Client as and when incurred.

  2. All accounts are payable prior to or upon collection of the report.  Until payment is completed, the instructor remains liable for full payment together with interest at the rate of 1.5% per calendar month from the due date plus all debt collection costs.

  3. Sheldon & Partners Limited reserve the right to submit interim invoices for valuation services where it is considered necessary to do so.

  4. Any quotation/estimate for the provision of valuation services is valid for ten (10) working days from its date.

 

Privacy Act

  1. Any personal information collected and held by Sheldon & Partners Limited will be used for purposes related to servicing the client's needs in respect of valuation or property services. Under the Privacy Act the client has the right of access to and correction of personal information about them that Sheldon & Partners Limited may hold.
